When I first started using my 1810D if I pushed in the clutch while rolling it would stop right away....now when I do the same it continues to role. I looked in my manual and it said there is an adjustment for the transmission brake but it was very vague on how to adjust it. Basically there are two nuts on either side of a lever that actuates a shaft that goes into the tranny. Any suggestions on how to adjust this and or how it should behave when it is adjusted properly. Also, is there a way to put turf tires on this model as it is 4x4. It has 14-5 on the front and 24-8.5 on the rear. Any input would be helpfull.

Sounds like your brakes were sticky when you first started using the tractor. It should roll. ....

Sounds like a feature I haven't heard of. Interesting idea and probably intended to solve the gear TX problem of freewheeling when shifting on hills.
From his previous posts, I'd guess that Dave knows how they should work. It's probably not good if they do hard braking each time the tractor is clutched. I've seen the type of adjustment device described. If I wanted to adjust it, I'd operate the clutch to see which way the lever moves for braking and then adjust as desired.
